Dr. Jeffrey Oakland

Dr. Jeffrey Oakland joined Dakota Vision Center in 2011. Dr. Oakland was born and raised in Sioux Falls; upon graduation from Augustana University, Dr. Oakland received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. He continued his education by completing a residency in Pediatric/Binocular Vision at Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Oakland practices primary care optometry with an emphasis in pediatrics and vision therapy.

After joining Dakota Vision Center, Dr. Oakland developed our vision therapy clinic, which is now named Dakota Vision Therapy. He thoroughly enjoys spending his days helping patients improve and enhance their vision and information processing skills.

Dr. Oakland is a member of the South Dakota Optometric Society, American Optometric Association, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and the Optometric Extension Program. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Pediatric Department at the University of South Dakota’s School of Medicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Oakland loves spending time with his wife and two children. He enjoys music, traveling, and watching college athletics.
